The Journey Begins
Our journey begins on July 12th and ends when the money runs out. The first stop is Costa Rica. Amy will be taking surfing lessons, and I will be taking Spanish lessons at the School of the World in Jaco, Costa Rica.

Amy and Chris: What a great beginning to a fabulous trip!
One suggestion: We found out the hard way that digital pictures transferred to a laptop were deleted by a virus that attacks jpg files. We transferred the files during our vacation so that we could reuse the chip, and we hadn't yet made print copies or made a back-up on a disk. We lost more than half of our vacation pictures. So if you're using a digital camera, make copies of your files! -- Paula

We are sitting here in Long Beach, enjoying our aches and pains, listening to workers on Sunday afternoon sanding Mary's hardwood floors, wishing we were in the next hot tub! B and T
